Lately, I’ve been seeing my favorite designers using mini flush mount ceiling lights instead of recessed lights in their designs. What a fresh and interesting way to add interest to ceilings in any space of your home!
At first I was not sure what to think about this design choice, but more I saw it in different spaces, more I’ve started to like it. After reading this post and seeing some of the images I’ll share, leave me a comment to let me know how you feel about this new trend.
tips on using the mini flush mount ceiling lights
1. Make sure you have enough ceiling height
- When dealing with low ceilings, make sure the ceiling hight allows for this design decision.
2. use multiple mini lights in one space
- These cute lights can be a statement when there’s more than one or two. They add character to a space not by being amazing by themselves, but when used as a collection.
3. use mini lights in between beams
- While adding beams in a space elevate the 6th wall that so many times is overlooked, these cute flush mount ceiling lights just add another layer of interest to the ceiling, drawing the eye up and making the space more interesting.
4. use mini lights in utilitarian areas
- Elevate every space in your home, even the utilitarian ones like hallways, laundry rooms or mudrooms, using mini flush mount lights. Why use a boring light fixture when you can find interesting and fun options for every budget?
When renovating or building from the ground up, there are endless opportunities to make a home special. Using mini flush mount lights could be a way to bring a fresh element in your home.
Finally, in order to make things easy for you, I’ve rounded up some options for every budget:
